Continuous winding Machine CWM for thermoplastic composite tubulars
CWM is a composite winding machine with a new technology for continuous length thermoplastic composite tubing named PDT-COIL tubular
PDT-COIL tubular(Power & Data Transmission – Composite coiled tubing) is the technology for producing continuous length thermoplastic composite tubulars with integrated power conductors and optical fibers. This technology is specially developed for the energy sector (oil & gas, geothermal), but can also be used in other markets.
Carbon and/or glass fibers are used to provide the required strength and stiffness. Integrated in the wall thickness of the tubulars are power conductors and optical fibers. For the power conductors, a new design has been developed to withstand the severe deformations during spooling of the tubular. The optical fibers are used for data transmission, strain monitoring and damage monitoring through acoustic emission.
