Hull doors

In order to make more use of the (restricted) space on board of a yacht, hull doors are getting more important. This is done amongst others with hull doors for launching tenders, embarkation platforms, balconies etc. Hull doors are an integral part of the hull, because of this not only the shape (double curved) but also strength and watertight closure are major issues. Our doors are approved by the ruling classification societies. TBV has also the knowledge and experience to take care of the hydraulics and electronics for the movement of the doors. Shown is a special stern door which is hinged on two places one when in us as swimming platform at 600 mm above waterline and one when in use for launching a tender There are different hinge and drive concepts available to make opening up or down possible. The doors can be executed in different materials as steel, stainless steel, aluminum or composite. Also integration in the doors of windows, cranes etc. is possible.
